Hello, and welcome to the Friday Update from GREATER MSP's Federal Funding Hub!
The purpose of this message is to share information so that our region can make the most of the opportunities under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Hub News
This was the final full week to prepare our Phase I concept proposal to U.S. EDA for the Build Back Better Challenge Grant. A draft of the concept narrative was shared with partners, which is made up of private sector, government, education, nonprofit, and community-based organizations. We also are so pleased to see that we will have over 30 letters of support to include in the application! The strength of this regional and state partnership is phenomenal, and will give us a competitive edge in this competition. The Phase I application will be submitted next Tuesday, October 19th. Look for future updates on opportunities to learn more about the proposal and about other funding opportunities from U.S. EDA (remember, Build Back Better is one of 6 programs designed by EDA to grant ARPA funds).
The Governor's Council on Economic Expansion is continuing to meet weekly on Mondays. You can join the meetings, check out the meeting materials, or submit public comments here.
