Hello, and welcome to the Friday Update from GREATER MSP's Federal Funding Hub! The purpose of this message is to share information so that our region can make the most of the opportunities under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Updates
The Governor's Council on Economic Expansion has released their recommendations for spending the state’s remaining ARPA funds.
Brookings published an in-depth analysis of how cities and regions are seizing (or failing to seize) the ARPA opportunity. This article is worth a read, and not only because our region gets some positive callouts!
Non-entitlement cities (NEUs) received an extra ARPA bonus on November 22 due to the distribution of unclaimed funds by other cities.

Monthly Report There was a lot of action in the Federal Funding Hub last month. In addition to our regular cadence of sessions, here are some of the things that kept us busy:
We hosted two rounds of “office hours” with our EDA representative in Chicago. During these sessions, teams from our region discussed 10 projects and received feedback on their eligibility and competitiveness.
88 people attended a webinar we hosted about the Bold North BioInnovation Cluster, our region’s Build Back Better Regional Challenge Grant application.
We provided four letters of support for project funding applications in our region.
24 additional people opted to receive this Friday Update.
